This lodge 7700sqft has 12 suites and a caretaker’s apartment. It is a post and beam log construction using western red cedar to be built on the west coast as a healing retreat.
The site is on a private island and we had to design this lodge knowing concrete use was limited and all material had to be barged to the site by water.
A large masonry stove dominates the entry to the great room with another fireplace on second floor by the double staircase.
The log architectural style is reminiscent of native architectural art of the area.
